How to use Watermark PDF well
Watermark PDF places repeated text such as DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or a department name over document pages. You can adjust text, opacity, angle, size, colour and font style to make the mark visible without unnecessarily obscuring the underlying content.

Privacy and document handling
The PDF and watermark settings are sent to the PDFTools server only for processing. Uploaded files are removed after the conversion and outputs expire. PDFTools does not retain a permanent watermarked copy or use document text for advertising. Do not place confidential information in a watermark unless every intended recipient should see it.
Important limitations
A watermark is a visible notice, not secure redaction or copy prevention. A determined editor may be able to remove it, and it does not conceal text beneath it. Applying a watermark changes the document and invalidates prior digital signatures. Very large or opaque text can harm accessibility and readability, so always inspect the finished pages.

Does a watermark protect copyright?
It communicates ownership or status but cannot technically prevent copying.
Can I remove the watermark later?

Is this the same as redaction?
No. Redaction removes sensitive content; a watermark adds visible text over existing content.
